Featured Plant of the Week: Summer Artichoke
It is the perfect time to plant Artichokes! You’re in luck as we have plenty here waiting for good homes.
Artichokes are easy to grow in this climate and will bear a bountiful harvest for a number of years.

PREPARING DELICIOUS ARTICHOKES
I am not known for my cooking skills, but the way I like to prepare and eat artichokes is:
First cut a bit off the top, then trim, with kitchen scissors, any of the smaller outer petals.
Boil between 35-45 minutes depending on the size of your artichoke bounty.
Dip in warm melted lemon butter! Enjoy!
